About me

I started exploring yoga in my late teens as a natural progression from Royal Academy of Dance Classical Ballet examinations.  It was a space where I could turn to move and listen to my body as a tonic to the intensity of Medical School and GP training.  It very quickly became something more than just a physical strengthening practice but a tool for managing the demands I faced in studying Medicine.

Taking time out to bring up my young family, the power of yoga became even more pronounced, a companion to navigating motherhood and learning to develop a deeper understanding of myself.

With my background in medicine I recognised that Yoga held so much of the holistic approach to understanding the complexities of health and life, by nurturing the mind-body connection.

With my desire to share this knowledge and  to support people on their own journey through life, I completed my 200 Hour Vinyasa Flow Whole Self Yoga Alliance Teacher Training with internationally renowned teacher Julie Montagu.

I now teach across West Dorset in both group classes and tailored 1:1 sessions.

My ethos

I believe that yoga is a journey of self-enquiry and building a compassionate relationship with oneself.

Through practice one can begin to reconnect with oneself. To find a pause, to respond rather than react to the ebb and flow of life. Whether it is a group class or a tailored 1:1 session I hold space for each individual to explore a breath-led strengthening vinyasa flow with a focus on self-enquiry and connection.

1:1 Session

Whether you are new to yoga or wanting to deepen your practice, tailored 1:1 sessions are a great way to create a personalised practice. I will tailor the session to reflect where you are in the moment and work with you to expand your own practice.

These sessions can also be particularly useful for those in search of a space to find calm and a pause to focus on strengthening the self-relationship – particularly if you are currently experiencing overwhelming demands that are often expected from us in the ever increasingly disconnected world.

Vinyasa Flow

A 60-minute dynamic breath-led flow that takes you through a rounded sequence ending in deep relaxation (Savasana).
These classes are open to all levels with modifications for beginners and variations for those with a more advanced practice.
The classes can be taken at a pace that suits you on any given day – whether you are after a more gentle flow or want to challenge yourself – listening in to what it is that your body needs.
